At about 6 nautical miles from Herceg Novi, located on the Luštica peninsula is perhaps the most beautiful natural phenomenon on the Montenegrin coast-Blue Cave. It was created at the bottom of the 100 meters cliff, as a result of a thousand years impact of sea waves on porous rocks of Luštica.
Cave has two openings, the smaller, on the southern side and a larger, 10 meters high and 15 meters wide, located on the southwest side, which allows tourists to attend the irresistible games of light and water in the inner part of the cave. This natural cave, with a ceiling of 9 meters above sea level, will take breath to anyone who visits it.
Through the entrance sunlight enters its interior, and wraps around the surface of the water making great shades of blue by which cave got its name. The crystal clear and warm water just entices to dive into and to become one with irresistible atmosphere that these natural caves create.
